Chloe fashioned herself a singer. Whenever she saw a poster advertising a band audition on campus, she wrote the time and place on her hand in gel pen, and never missed one. She never made one, of course, because she was nearly tone-deaf and thought she could make up for it by screaming everything, but that never stopped her from annoying friends and classmates by spontaneously bursting out in song whenever she was bored.
Somehow Chloe made it through to her senior year without getting gagged, but finally she met up with an Accounting professor who had no tolerance for off-key singing. After two warnings, her professor walked to her desk with a roll of medical tape, plastering piece after piece over her mouth and around her jawline. The rest of the class cheered so loudly that the professor had to warn them about getting their mouths taped shut too if they didn't quiet down a bit.
Students who had to suffer Chloe's singing in previous classes were all too happy to hear about her gagging, and many made it a point of visiting her during her hallway hours, some on a daily basis. For her Gag Fashion Show appearance she was dressed up as a glam rocker to match the sign she'd been forced to wear since she got gagged. Chloe mmmmmphed angrily as she walked down the runway, but hardly anyone heard her over the peals of laughter from the crowd. She certainly wasn't going to be singing to them again anytime soon.
